Four men arrested after the discovery of a biological toxin in London have been charged under anti-terrorism laws with trying to make chemical weapons, Scotland Yard said today.
Mr Mouloud Feddag, Mr Sidali Feddag, Mr Samir Feddag and Mr Mustapha Taleb, all 33, were charged with "possession of articles of value to a terrorist," and "being concerned in the development or production of chemical weapons," police said in a press statement.
The four charged were among seven people arrested during police raids at undisclosed locations in north and east London last Sunday and Tuesday, after the discovery of the deadly poison ricin in a flat in Wood Green, in the north of the city. They will appear on Monday in Bow Street Magistrates Court, cental London along with Mr Nasreddine Fekhadji who has been charged with the possession of false documents. A sixth man has been re-arrested for alleged possession of drugs and immigration matters. It is expected he will be bailed to return pending further enquiries, Scotland Yard said.
A seventh man has been released into the custody of the Immigration Service.
