Four people were killed in road accidents yesterday.
A woman in her 70s died after being hit by a van while crossing Killarney Road in Bray, Co Wicklow, shortly before 9 p.m.
A man died after the car he was driving was in collision with another vehicle at Dunsink Lane in Blanchardstown, Dublin, at 4.30 p.m.
A 35-year-old Egyptian national was killed when the car he was driving collided with a van in Knockeen near Killarney, Co Kerry.
A 24-year-old man died in an accident near his home in Tramore, Co Waterford, at 4.45 a.m. Mr Jonathan Keaoghan (24) from Moonvoy was a front seat passenger in a car which collided with a wall.
Meanwhile Gardai named the woman who was killed in a car crash near Macroom, Co Cork, on Thursday as Ms Catherine Morrissey (22), of The Rise, Gortmore, Banteer.
