Four men have been arrested in County Laois in connected with a multi-million pound seizure of herbal cannabis.
The seizure was part of a joint Garda and Customs operation.
The men, aged from late 20s to late 30s, were arrested in Portarlington and are being held in Tullamore Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act. They can be questioned for up to seven days.
The drugs were concealed within the doors of a metal lorry container which arrived into Dublin Port on Thursday. The consignment is believed to have originated in South Africa.
