Hundreds of Irish travelers flying to and from Italy are facing disruption today following a one-day strike by Italian air traffic controllers.
Ryanair has cancelled a number of flights to Italy but Aer Lingus said none of its flights between Dublin and Rome are affected but its services to Milan have been rescheduled.
Ryanair is understood to have called off nearly 40 flights. A statement on Ryanair's website says customers would be moved to another flight or offered a refund.
"Ryanair regrets it is forced to cancel a number of its flights to and from Italy during the period of the strike," the statement said.
It added: "Although passengers on other Ryanair flights to and from Italy may experience delays they should report to the airport in time to check-in as normal."
