About a dozen flights at Berlin's two international airports were cancelled this morning during a six-hour warning strike over wages by about 250 ground crew.
A spokesman for Berlin airports Tegel and Schoenefeld said the overall disruption was minimal.
Members of the Verdi union began the strike at 4am to back claims for higher wages.
"There was a lot of flexibility on the ground and it's my impression that the impact was minimised as a result," Berlin airports spokesman Ralf Kunkel said. "There were a number of off-duty staffers who voluntarily came in to work to help out."
Germany's biggest airline, Lufthansa, suffered some delays and cancelled one flight from Duesseldorf, a spokesman for the company said.
Air Berlin, a leading German airline, said it did not have to cancel any flights but that there would be some minimal delays in flights arriving.
