Flight delay leads to Lotto jackpot

A Dublin businessman has become Ireland's 70th Lotto millionaire

A Dublin businessman has become Ireland's 70th Lotto millionaire. A delay in an incoming flight at Dublin Airport gave him time to buy a £1.50 Quick Pick ticket. He was the only winner of the prize of £1,474,302.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the National Lottery: "I was waiting around and I had time to kill so I walked over to the shop in the airport and bought a £1.50 Quick Pick ticket with loose change which I had in my pocket. I could not believe when I checked my ticket late last night to discover I had won over a million pounds".
