Five people have been killed in road accidents during the weekend, including three in Northern Ireland. Shortly after 1 p.m. on Saturday, two people were killed and six injured when their car hit a tree on the Ardboe road at Moortown, near Cookstown, Co Tyrone.
These who died were Mr Stephen Muldoon (23) and Mr Adrian Rocks (28), from Coagh, Co Tyrone.
In Co Antrim, a man died after a four-vehicle collision near Greenisland shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday. Police in Carrickfergus have appealed for the driver of a red car near the scene to come forward as a witness. In Co Cork, a four-year-old girl was fatally injured when a car reversed out of the driveway of her home at Gaggin, Bandon, on Friday evening. She was named last night as Noreen O'Driscoll.
A man was killed when his van collided with a parked bus at Cavendish Row, off Parnell Square East, Dublin. He was Mr Shane Mulvey, (44), of Portland Street.
A woman in the van was treated in the Mater Hospital for injuries described as not life-threatening.
