Ireland back row Alan Quinlan faces a fitness test today in a bid to take his place on the replacement bench for Saturday's first Test against New Zealand in Dunedin on Saturday.
The Munster man is still recovering from the knock he took in the opening tour game in Timaru against the New Zealand Development XV and a vacancy has been left open on the bench.
The Irish management have had to call in David Wallace as additional cover given that Eric Miller also injured himself in that 53-6 victory.
Wallace, a surprise omission from the original touring party, has arrived in Dunedin straight from a holiday on the west coast of America.
