Giancarlo Fisichella is upbeat about Jordan's chances next season after getting his first taste of the new Ford-powered car.
Eddie Jordan's team have spent much of the winter desperately searching for new backers after principal sponsor Deutsche Post pulled out, and have yet to name their second driver.
But Fisichella tested the new EJ13 - run without any sponsorship logos - in private at Silverstone this week ahead of its public debut on Monday in Barcelona.
The new Jordan boasts Ford Cosworth power after team chief Jordan secured a three-year deal with the American manufacturer, and Fisichella is optimistic about the future.
The Italian said: "This has been a good start - I am very impressed by the engine's power and also with the car which not only looks very nice but is aggressive and simple.
"Everything went okay without any major problems so I am looking forward to starting testing in Barcelona on Monday".
