The Irish South and West Fishermen's Organisation (IS&WFO) has said it feels its members will vote against the Amsterdam Treaty in next month's referendum out of concern about the EU Common Fisheries Policy. The organisation's secretary, Mr Tom Hassett, said that a debate among members on the Treaty vote would take place shortly. To talk of "relative stability" and to allow one member-state to circumvent rules and regulations was "an act of . . . utmost hypocrisy", he said.
