Two fishermen were airlifted off the Galway coast last night when their boat ran aground in fog near Rossavil.
The vessel, a 36-foot fishing boat, ran aground near Lough Carrig Island at the mouth of Rossavil Harbour.
Two RNLI lifeboats and a coastguard helicopter from Shannon were tasked to aid the stricken vessel. The two fishermen were airlifted by the helicopter and taken to Shannon.
The men were unharmed in the incident.
