The South-Eastern Health Board has failed to establish how a confidential hospital file on an 18-year-old autistic man was found in the garden of a house in Kilkenny. Its report, released yesterday, concluded that "the file was taken inadvertently from the hospital or was stolen from the hospital, and that the advice of the gardai be sought in this regard". It said the file was the property of St Canice's psychiatric hospital in Kilkenny.
