A Fianna Fáil backbench TD had his drink driving case adjourned by consent at a court in West Cork today.

Cork South West TD Christy O'Sullivan, from Tawnies, Clonakilty, is charged with drink driving at the Western Road in Clonakilty on June 2nd last.

Today at Clonakilty District Court, Supt Pat Maher said that gardaí were seeking an adjournment of the case until November by consent.

Judge James McNulty said the State would need to know in advance what witnesses to call if Mr O'Sullivan was entering a not guilty plea.

Mr O'Sullivan wasn't in court, but his solicitor, Mary O'Callaghan, said that witnesses would not be required, and Judge McNulty adjourned the case until November 4th.
