Fianna Fail is so short of ideas in health policy that it has adopted the current Government's programme, the Minister for Health, Mr Noonan, has said.
"There is scarcely a serious commitment in Fianna Fail's health policy which is not already part of Government policy and which is being implemented," he said. But he added that as the Progressive Democrats are committed to cutting public spending, health spending would be "slashed" in a FF/PD coalition government.
Mr Brian Cowen of Fianna Fail said the party would improve the health service.
