A man in his 30s sustained serious gunshot wounds in an attack in the Dolphin's Barn area of Dublin last night. The attack occurred at around 10.50 p.m. and is believed to have been related to a feud.
Gardai say witnesses saw two men chase the victim shortly before the incident. The man had been walking from the Grand Canal to Dolphin's Barn when he was set upon. He sustained four gunshot wounds to his back, stomach and cheek but was able to stop a private car, which took him to St James's Hospital. Gardai said last night the victim was known to them previously. i said His condition is not life-threatening.
