HOLLYWOOD STARS such as Errol Flynn and Marilyn Monroe will be recalled later this month when Glengarriff hosts the inaugural Maureen O’Hara Classic Film Festival in honour of the screen legend, who lives in the west Cork village.

O'Hara, the star of John Ford's The Quiet Man,will join with fans at screenings of classic films starring Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart, John Wayne, Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman, Errol Flynn and others.

Flynn's daughter Rory Flynn will present highlights from her book about her father, The Baron of Mulholland, while actor Susan Bernard will preview for the first time her new book Marilyn: Intimate Exposures, which includes 50 photos never before seen in public.

Irish film director Sé Merry Doyle will also present his acclaimed documentary Dreaming the Quiet Man, which includes contributions from O'Hara.
