Brussels - Preliminary trials of a female version of Viagra will be completed next year but it is likely to be several years before any such drug is available to the public, according to its manufacturer, Pfizer.
Dr Joseph Feczko of Pfizer said it was "theoretically possible" that Viagra's capacity to increase blood flow to the penis could have applications in the treatment of female sexual dysfunction. But the far greater complexity of female sexual response meant that current tests could not be conclusive.
