Displaced residents of the Priory Hall apartments in north Dublin say they fear a decision to cut off the power supply to communal areas of the complex could see their properties damaged further.
A Dublin City Council law agent wrote to the residents on Monday to inform them that “the ESB” had disconnected supply to the basements in the north and south blocks of the complex.
In the letter, it was stated that surface water gathering in the basement would not now be pumped away.
A spokesman for ESB Networks denied that the overall power supply to Priory Hall had been cut.
