Queen's Logic was found to be lame this morning and could miss tomorrow's Sagitta 1000 Guineas.
Last season's champion two-year-old filly was found to be lame on her near fore and trainer Mick Channon faces a race against time to get to post for the Newmarket classic tomorrow for which she is favourite at around 7-4.
"We found out at 5.30 this morning. We've got a little bit of pus out of her foot and she's a bit better. We're just hoping that poulticing it and hot-tubbing it will do the trick. It's just time really," said a devastated Channon.
"She's never had a lame day in her life.
"I just want everyone to know so that they can suspend the betting.
"We've just got to hold our nerve. She's got to be sound today. We know what it is, it's northing serious but it's very annoying."
Queen's Logic was unbeaten in four races last season culminating in a breathtaking victory in the Group One Shadwell Stud Cheveley Park Stakes and she made a successful reappearance in the Dubai Duty Free Stakes at Newbury last month.
