The board of Fás is appointed by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment. It comprises representatives from the trade union, employer, social welfare, education and youth sectors, as well as representatives from the departments of finance, education and science, social, community and family affairs, and enterprise, trade and employment. There are also Fás employee representatives.
