Interpol will this week add the photographs of 14 leaders of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) to an international watch list featured on its website.
Images including that of FARC founder Mr Manuel "Tirofijo" Marulanda will join a photo of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
"Data with photographs and fingerprints is going to be updated on a permanent basis," Interpol chief in Bogota Col Rodrigo Gonzalez said. The measure is an attempt "to close the door" to the group abroad, he said.
The United States has extradition requests on cocaine trafficking charges issued for FARC members Mr Marulanda and Mr Tomas Molina Caracas.
The United States has targeted the FARC; the National Liberation Army (ELN), which has 4,000 fighters; and paramilitaries belonging to the United Self-Defence Forces of Colombia, numbering about 10,000.
Nearly 3,000 terrorist suspects are on Interpol's international watch list.
