A couple and their two children escaped injury after a sectarian petrol bomb attack on their south Belfast home, police said today.

Two petrol bombs were thrown at the house in the Ashley Park area of Dunmurry, causing minor scorch damage to the front door and garage door.

A parked vehicle was also damaged in the attack just before 11 p.m. last night.

The occupant, his partner and their two young children, aged seven and 10 months, were uninjured.

Police are treating the attack as sectarian and have appealed for anyone who witnessed it or has any information about it to contact them.
