Racing: The high-profile fixture at Fairyhouse is subject to an inspection at 7.30am tomorrow due to the threat of a heavy frost.
The card is due to feature Hardy Eustace and Brave Inca in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle, the Drinmore Chase and the Royal Bond Hurdle, with Cheltenham Festival clues aplenty sure to be in the offing.
But frost threatens to cast a shadow over proceedings on the second day of the meeting. The course is currently raceable, however, with the ground described as soft, soft to heavy in places.
Today's action saw Pomme Tiepy (6-1) bounce back to her best when storming to victory in the Fairyhouse Membership 2009 Hurdle.
The five-year-old was beaten out of sight on her retunr at Clonmel, but she led the field from the start and emerged from the thick fog with a small margin in hand of Cork All Star.
Jessica Harrington's charge challenged approaching the last, but Pomme Tiepy scooted clear on the run-in, scoring by five and a half lengths under Paul Townend.
Mullins said: "I was delighted, she's back to herself now. We'll mix hurdles and fences this season and she'll go for a Grade Three, three mile hurdle in Cork in two weeks time."
Mullins and Townend completed a double when Arbor Supreme landed the Ladbrokes.com Porterstown Handicap Chase.
The 11-2 favourite showed plenty of tenacity and after winging the last fence, he went on to beat Forest Leaves.
