The Minister for Education and Science has included a senior official from Northern Ireland's curriculum and examinations body on his expert advisory group on Junior and Leaving Cert examinations. It will evaluate the operation of the exams, take submissions and make recommendations to ensure public confidence in exam procedures.
The group will be chaired by Dr Thomas Kellaghan, director of the Educational Research Centre at St Patrick's College, Drumcondra.
