A round-up of some of the events taking place around the country this weekend
Pedal Port Láirge
Waterford kick-starts National Bike Week 2012 this weekend with a range of cycling events, novelty acts and food markets in the Regional Sports Centre (RSC) in Waterford city and Walton Park in Dungarvan.
Tomorrow, the family cycle will depart from the RSC at 1pm and return after an hour-long spin for the Pedal Port Láirge party.
The weekend’s headline act is the extreme sports roadshow RampRage, a bike stunt show performed by professional athletes.

Dublin Bike Week
Bike Week 2012 will be celebrated in Dublin tomorrow with the Community Gardens Cycle, beginning with two routes from Raheny and Crumlin and finishing with a family picnic in Iveagh Gardens.
On Sunday, Pedal in the Park in Phoenix Park hosts a family day with entertainment, bike tours and music.

Taste of Dublin
Taste of Dublin invites food lovers to enjoy an alfresco gourmet feast in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens this weekend.
Twenty of Dublin’s finest restaurants will be serving up starter-sized samples of their signature dishes allowing attendees to sample the best in local and international food.
The boutique food market will play host to 100 producers providing gourmet food, and cooking fanatics can pick up tips at culinary demonstrations in the Chef’s Theatre.

Dublin Biennial Pop-Up exhibition
The Dublin Biennial Pop Up exhibition showcases contemporary art from a mix of 55 international and national artists at the Point Village this weekend.
American artist Yoko Ono will present her Wish Tree For Ireland installation, which invites people to place personal wishes on the tree during the exhibition.
The wishes will be transferred to her Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland as part of her 1,000,000 wishes project.

Arcadia Festival
The Arcadia Festival in Bray takes place this weekend to celebrate the 10th birthday of Bray’s Mermaid Arts Centre.
The festival seeks to evoke memories of childhood summers in Bray with picnics and a selection of theatre, exhibitions and cabaret.
Tomorrow, the town celebrates Bloomsday with entertainment around Victorian Bray, including a display of vintage vehicles and machinery from the Joycean era.
Later, at 6pm, the 1940s-inspired satirical show The Fitzrovia Radio Hour hits the Mermaid Arts Centre.
