Dublin will be a showcase for Irish science when the city becomes the European city of science in 2012, the Irish ambassador to the US has stated.
“2012 does look like being an exciting time for Dublin,” Mr Michael Collins said.
He was speaking over the weekend at a reception in Washington DC hosted by the embassy and held in the margins of the American Association for the Advancement of Science annual meeting.
Thousands of scientists, media and members of the public will take part in the 2012 science meeting, which will be held in the Convention Centre Dublin.
