The euro has recovered losses suffered in the dollar's revival yesterday and is again close to its all-time high.
At 9.15 a.m. (Irish time) today the euro rose to $1.1840 up from yesterday's low of $1.1692. The euro also rose against the yen, moving above the Yen 140 yen mark.
This morning the euro was trading at £0.7178 sterling.
The euro's fightback against the dollar's two-day rally comes ahead of the US president George W. Bush telling world leaders at the upcoming G8 summit that the White House wants to maintain a strong dollar.
