Tolling collection company eTrip Services has acquired Eazy Pass for an undisclosed sum.
Eazy Pass was established in 1998, and has issued more than 130,000 electronic tags, with 60,000 clients on its books. Etrip Services, which was formed in 2005, offers a combined service of tolling and car parking from a single tag. The tags work on all toll roads in Ireland, including the Dublin Port Tunnel.
"Our decision to acquire Eazy Pass is a demonstration of our confidence in the future of electronic tolling services in Ireland," said Ciara O'Brien, general manager, eTrip Services.
The firm said it would operate as two separate companies during the integration phase to minimise disruption to existing customers.
