Lagos - A week of clashes between Nigeria's Tiv and Ibo ethnic groups has left at least 32 people dead near the central town of Gboko, a local newspaper said yesterday.
TNT said the fighting was triggered last weekend by an argument between a Tiv boy and an Ibo girl in which the boy was stabbed to death.
Tiv youths then attacked the shops and homes of immigrant Ibo traders. The paper said the situation was now returning to normal.
