SPAIN:AN ETA terrorist convicted of killing 25 people is to live on the same street as three widows whose husbands were murdered by the separatist organisation.

Inaki de Juana Chaos is to be released from jail next month and is to move into the road where the widows of a soldier, a police officer and a mayor killed by the terrorist group all live. Relatives are furious that Spain's most notorious terrorist will return to San Sebastian to live among victims of the organisation after 21 years behind bars.

Pilar Ruiz, whose son Joseba Pagazaurtundua, a police chief in the Basque Country, was murdered by Eta in 1993, lives in the block of flats that de Juana Chaos is to move into. The policeman's widow Estibaliz Garmendia lives on the same street with their two children.

Maria Teresa Embid, whose husband José Maria Herrera, an army commander, was assassinated by Eta in 1979, lives in the same block of flats on Avenida Carlos I. Isabel Bastida, whose husband Jaime Arrese was shot dead while serving as mayor of Elgoibar in 1980, also lives on the same road.
