One tonne of cannabis with an estimated street value of €12 million has been seized by gardaí in Dublin.
The drugs were found when members of the National Drugs Unit stopped and searched an articulated lorry in Dublin at 7.20 a.m. today on St Johns Rd West, near the city centre.
The driver of the lorry, a 40-year-old man with an address in Dublin, was arrested and is being detained in Kilmainham Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
