The singer Enya made one of her rare public appearances when she took part in a concert held in St Mary's Church, Gweedore, Co Donegal, on Wednesday night as part of the Earagail Arts Festival.
She sang with her four sisters as part of a performance by the local choir, Cór Mhuire, which has been directed for many years by her mother, Baba Brennan.
The concert is one of three events being held during the festival to mark the contribution of Baba and Leo Brennan and their family to music in Donegal and far beyond. It's thought that family members have sold 70 million albums worldwide.
Since her breakthrough with the album Watermark and the hit song Orinoco Flow in 1988, Enya has gone on to become one of the top-selling female artists of all time. However, she has rarely performed in public.
She and her sisters Moya (formerly of Clannad), Bridín, Deirdre and Olive sang three hymns - Pie Jesu, Close to You and Alleluia.
Baba and Leo Brennan were granted the Freedom of Donegal at a special ceremony in Lifford yesterday, attended by local politicians, family and friends.
