Sow outdoors:broad beans; French beans; runner beans; beetroot; sprouting broccoli; autumn and winter cabbage; calabrese; carrots; autumn and winter cauliflowers; chicory; spring onions; peas; parsnip; mangetout; sugar snap; radish; rocket; spinach (annual and perpetual); swedes; turnips

Plant:onion and shallot sets; brassicas; spinach; lettuce; asparagus (potted); and most herbs.

Do:water young seedlings and plants; weed and dig beds; net young brassicas; cover carrot seedlings with Bionet; continue sowing seed and pricking out/thinning seedlings; organise seed and seedling swaps; harden-off well-established plants; protect against late frosts; and finish planning crop rotations.
