A traffic warden who allegedly took about Euro 300,000 from parking ticket machines owned by Ennis Town Council faces imprisonment if he fails to give, by June 18th, further details of what he did with the money, the High Court has warned.
Mr Justice Kelly yesterday made an order committing Chris Harford, of Cluain Ard, Kilmaley, Ennis, a supervisory traffic warden, to prison but put a stay on the order until June 18th to allow Mr Harford time to give more information on what happened to the monies he is alleged to have taken from parking machines at Dunnes Stores public carpark in Ennis.
Mr Justice Kelly also gave judgment for Eu 250,000 to Ennis Town Council in its action against Mr Harford.
