Gardaí in Limerick have arrested eight people in connection with the murder of Kieran Keane in the city in January.
Six men and two women were held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act as part of an investigation into serious crime in Limerick.
They are being held in various locations in Limerick and can be detained for up to 48 hours under the Act.
Mr Keane was found shot dead on the outskirts of Limerick on January 29th last.
