Dublin-based educationalists who want to know about midges, microfossils, sediments and man should go along to a public lecture in the RDS Merrion Room next week. Aquatic organisms will be taking centre stage when Dr Declan Murray, a senior lecturer in UCD's Department of Zoology, delivers the 1999 Went Memorial Lecture next Tuesday . Starting at 6.30 p.m, admission to the lecture is free and all are welcome to attend. The lecture, entitled
Lakes in the Landscape - Midges, Microfossils, Sediments and Man, is based on 35 years of research by Dr Murray.
