I am writing to you in regards to an article which appeared in the Campus Times page of the Education & Living supplement (March 5th).

The article in question, headed "Fianna Fail - The devil and the deep green sea", attempted to give the impression that the awarding of the Fianna Fail Third-Level Cumann of the Year to the Erskine Childers Cumann, TCD, was unjustified and was awarded on grounds other than merit. I feel that this is not the case and that this view is an unfair one. My own opinion and that of most third-level delegates who attended the recent Ogra Fianna Fail conference in Bundoran, Co Donegal, was that this award to TCD was deserved and reflected the work that has been put in by them over the past year.

I hope you will clarify this situation at the first available opportunity.
