A morning conference for professionals who work in schools, colleges, personnel departments, community action groups and certification bodies will be held on Wednesday, February 4th, at Colaiste Dhulaigh, Coolock, Dublin, to look at "Education and Industry 2000".
Speakers include Padraig O'Grady, education executive with IBEC; Una Halligan, public affairs manager with Hewlett-Packard Manufacturing Ireland; Jimmy Brick, curriculum development officer with City of Galway VEC; and Brian Garvan, manager of International Services Division, IDA Ireland. They will offer guidance on future trends in the world of work and the skills that students will need - focusing on the partnership between industry and education.
