Two Swedish teenagers have been charged with murder after the killing of another teen in school toilets. Police found the 16-year-old shot in the neck at Bromma Secondary School in Stockholm.
In keeping with Swedish legal practice the names of the victim and the two arrested men have not been released. The men charged are aged 17 and 19 and it is understood that both have previous criminal records; they are not, it is believed, students at the school. Classes in the school were suspended and counsellors and clergy brought in to counsel students and staff.
This was the first shooting death to occur in Sweden during school hours and has shocked a country where school violence is rare.
