Retired volunteers sought

Age Action Ireland is looking for retired people to act as volunteers for its many activities and projects

Age Action Ireland is looking for retired people to act as volunteers for its many activities and projects. Volunteers can work alongside project leaders on a variety of tasks from administrative jobs such as taking the minutes at meetings to helping out in the organisation's reference library or lending a hand in one of the Age Action charity shops.

Volunteering keeps retired people on their toes both mentally and physically and organisations such as Age Action also benefit enormously from the wealth of knowledge and experience built up by older people during a lifetime of working and living. The organisation needs volunteers with all sorts of skills and anyone with some time to spare should contact the volunteer co-ordinator, Darragh Matthews, at Age Action Ireland, 30-31 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2 - phone (01) 475 6989.
