DIT Aungier Street, the architectural jewel in the DIT's crown, has received a vote of approval from the world of television.
The college was last week being used for location filming on a big budget ITV series. And what is this masterwork, you ask? Is Aungier Street hosting kiddie humourfest The School Round the Corner, perhaps? Substituting for the dreaming spires of Oxford in Inspector Morse, perchance?
Well, no, unfortunately.
Actually, it's being used for interior work on the The Governor, ITV's lock-'em-up, treat-'em-rough, don't-let-the-screws-grind-you-down prison drama. Typecasting, that's what it is.
