A limited number of places still exists on the diploma programme in mental-handicap nursing at various schools. Guidance counsellors may like to inform those of their former Leaving Cert students who are interested and who have not already applied to the National Application Centre this year that they may apply. Schools of nursing in mental handicap are located in Cork, Sligo, Limerick, Kildare, Dundalk and Dublin.

The course commences on Monday, September 28th, and intending applicants should make immediate application by phone to the National Application Centre for nursing in mental handicap in Dublin (tel: (01) 821 7266).
