Oxfam is appealing to students and teachers to locate unused mobile phones lying about in houses, offices and schools. Stephanie Casey of Oxfam says there are over one million unused mobiles in the State - and that each phone "is worth an average of £5 to us - the same as a year's school fees for a child in Tanzania. Some models can be worth up to £65." To donate a phone take it to any Oxfam shop or their head office in Dublin or Belfast.
