Colm Tóibín Lecture at NUI Maynooth
This year’s annual An Foras Feasa Seathrún Céitinn lecture will be given by novelist Colm Tóibín tomorrow at 7pm in Callan Hall (south campus), NUI Maynooth. Public Discussion on Climate Change
“Will Copenhagen Be Able to Deliver Climate Justice?” is the topic of a public discussion to be chaired by Frank McDonald of The Irish Times tomorrow at 6.15pm in Bewleys Café Theatre, Grafton Street, Dublin. Mary White TD, deputy leader of the Green Party, and Niamh Garvey, climate policy officer with Trocaire, will speak. Admission is free of charge.

Lunchtime Lecture at the Hunt Museum Limerick
“I will be with you tomorrow: Christmas, it’s origins and it’s traditions” is the title of a talk by Colmán Ó Clabaigh OSB at the Hunt Museum Limerick on Tuesday, December 8th.
Colmán Ó Clabaigh OSB is a monk of Glenstal Abbey, Co Limerick. Medieval historian, author of The Franciscans in Ireland 1400–1534. All are welcome. Admission is free.
Darwin Exhibition at the National Botanic Gardens
“Darwin Now”, an interactive exhibition about the life and work of Charles Darwin, is re-opening at the Gallery, the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9, where it will be displayed until Thursday, December 10th.
The exhibition explores the genesis of Darwin's On the Origin of Speciesand looks at how Darwin's theory of evolution continues to influence biology and other branches of science. NCAD Postgraduate Open Evening
The NCAD postgraduate open evening will be held on the NCAD campus at 100 Thomas Street, Dublin 8 on Thursday, December 10th from 4pm to 7pm. Talk on Asperger’s Syndrome
As part of a continuing series of talks and open days, the title of a talk in the Cluas centre in Tallaght, Dublin is: “How Auditory Processing Impacts on Asperger’s Syndrome”.
Interested parents are invited to the Cluas centre on Saturday, December 5th from 10am to noon. Parents can view facilities, meet staff and discuss programmes for young people with Asperger’s Syndrome and how they might benefit from a programme at Cluas.
