Teaching Skills for School Librarians

GMIT Hotel School annual Recruitment and Careers Fair
The hotel school at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) is holding its annual career’s fair on Friday, April 24th for students and anyone interested in a career in the hospitality, retail and tourism industry.
More than 40 hotel groups and recruitment companies in the sector will attend the event which takes place in the Institute’s Café Foyer in the Dublin Road campus from 10am to 12.30pm. Graduates of the school and colleagues from the hospitality and tourism industry throughout the country will attend the event and answer queries on job prospects, career trends and opportunities in the industry.

CIT Lecture Series on Climate Change
Cork Institute of Technology hosts the 2009 Siemens Lecture Series during the month of May, featuring a series of topics relating to climate change. The lectures take place on Wednesday May 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th from 1pm to 2pm in the IT Building, CIT Bishopstown Campus. The lectures are free and open to the public.
Tom Bean will give the first lecture on Climate Change, on May 6th in IT3. This will be an introduction to climate change and a discussion on the efforts required to meet the climate change challenge.
