Lecture at The Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, TCD

In his inaugural lecture, Prof Poul Holm, academic director of the Trinity Long Room Hub, asks: “Where are the frontiers of knowledge, where may we expect to see intellectual breakthroughs over the next decade, and what will be the benefits to the economy and society of investing time, effort and money into the arts and humanities?” The lecture will take place tomorrow in the Walton Theatre, Arts Building, TCD at 6pm.

Commerce Road Show at UCC

The Commerce Faculty Road Show at University College Cork will visit Clonmel Public Library tomorrow from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. The evening include a presentation on all business degree programmes at UCC followed by a question and answer session. There will be a “drop in” facility from 7pm to 7.30pm to provide for individual consultations. Art History Lecture at UCD

Science Lecture at UCC

The public lecture series, hosted by UCC’s College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (Sefs), concludes with the final lecture, “Nitrogen Fixation – Food Wars and Politics” by Prof Michael Morris tomorrow at 8pm in Boole 4 Lecture Theatre. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Politics Lecture at UL

Ceann Comhairle John O’Donoghue will deliver a major public lecture entitled “Why Politics Matters” at the University of Limerick on Thursday. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Information Evening at the CIT Cork School of Music

CIT Cork School of Music offers courses in musicianship for five- to eight-year-old beginners. An information evening will take place in the CIT Cork School of Music, Union Quay on Thursday, March 26th from 8pm to 9pm for parents of new students only. Leaving Certificate Mathematics Revision Classes at TCD

Revision seminars for Ordinary Level Leaving Cert maths students are being held at Trinity College Dublin on Saturday, March 28th and Saturday, May 2nd.
