The Decorative Arts Centre in Great Strand Street, Dublin, is the venue for a series of one-day workshops in paint effects and furniture painting. The workshops are held on Saturdays between 10.15 a.m. and 5.15 p.m. and they cost £65 including lunch.

Discounts are available for older people, students and social welfare recipients. The next workshop in paint effects will be held on February 27th.

The centre is also offering an eight-week course in interior design starting on April 20th. This costs £170 and will cover topics such as space planning, colour and design, wall finishes, flooring, soft furnishings and storage.
