Let the call go out throughout the south-east that Waterford Chamber of Commerce has a bursary to give away. The offer is open to any student who is applying for a third-level course in architecture, dance, drama, film, literature, music, opera or visual arts. The bursary will be worth £4,500 spread over three years and is designed to encourage excellence in the arts by helping one student while also encouraging others.
It is open to students who are from Waterford or currently studying there. The successful student can use the funding to pay his or her fees at an approved third-level college. Alternatively, the student may use it to help cover other relevant costs.
Written entries (to be sent by registered post) should reach Student Arts Bursary, Arts and Culture Committee, Waterford Chamber of Commerce, George's Street, Waterford, by the close of business on Friday, April 14th. For further details call (051) 872 639.
