Mary's Makeover

Mary tends to shop at chainstores and likes bright colours, so picking out clothes for her was no problem. For a day in school, this outfit (right) from Benetton definitely satisfies her fondness for strong shades. Admittedly, the trousers may show dirt a little more easily than something darker, but they are hard-wearing and can be thrown into a washing machine. The combination of red and blue is always cheering. The denim wedge shoes (out of the frame) give Mary a little extra height and all her style-conscious students will already know how fashionable they are at the moment. For more formal occasions in school, this dress and shirt from Marks & Spencer ought to do the trick. Together, they look smart enough even for a wedding (all she would have to add is a little hat) while they also work very well separately - the dress can be worn on its own all summer, the light top teamed with a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. The wrap is being sold by M&S as a sarong, so it could be taken on holidays too.
