A TOUR of chemical plants in Britain is being organised by Dr Peter Childs, of UL, and the Royal Society of Chemistry. There are places for up to 10 teachers on the tour.

Childs also tells us that Chemistry in Action! magazine, which has been produced for Irish chemistry teachers since 1980, completes its 20th year this year. The magazine is also sent to about 1,000 schools in Britain and Northern Ireland.
